Down Syndrome Innovations Leadership Transition

On December 9, 2024, the Board of Directors of Down Syndrome Innovations announced that Jason Drummond, Ed.D., resigned his role as President and Chief Executive Officer effective December 31. Dr. Drummond has accepted a new role in the Higher Education industry.

The Board has a succession plan in place and appointed Sarah Mai as the Executive Director of Down Syndrome Innovations effective Wednesday, Dec. 11. She will also serve as the Interim Leader as the Board of Directors conducts a search for a new Chief Executive Officer of Down Syndrome Innovations.

“Over the last seven years, Jason’s visionary leadership crystalized our mission and magnified our impact by building our new Lifelong Learning Campus while also expanding to serve all ages,” shared Mike Frazier, Chair, Board of Directors. “Under his tenure, we experienced unprecedented philanthropic support that made it possible for us to serve more people than ever before. We are grateful for everything he has contributed to our mission and we wish him well in his new endeavor.”

Sarah Mai promoted to Executive Director
