In this virtual presentation, Dr. Talib will provide an overview of the Health Supervision Guidelines for Children and Adolescents with Down Syndrome; identify some of the common vulnerabilities of children with Down Syndrome; and discuss available interventions and resources.

About the Presenter: Dr. Talib is the Medical Director of the Down Syndrome Clinic at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Led by Dr. Talib, the clinical staff at The Down Syndrome Clinic at Children’s Mercy offers specialized services to children with Down syndrome and their families. As the only certified pediatric Down syndrome program in the region, their multidisciplinary team has worked together to collaboratively review the unique needs of each child and improve their quality of life through comprehensive, whole-person care. The focus of the clinic is to improve the lives of children with DS by excellence in clinical care education and research. Dr. Talib’s passion is towards providing care to children from different backgrounds with challenging needs and provide support to the parents taking care of children with medically complex conditions.
