Join us for an exciting and supportive summer workshop designed for individuals ages 12 and up who use AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and total communication strategies! This brand-new program offers a safe, engaging space to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and practice real-world interactions. Throughout the workshop, participants will explore self-advocacy, expressive language, and functional communication strategies in a fun, small-group setting. With guidance from experienced speech-language professionals, attendees will work toward the empowering goal of independently ordering a meal and enjoying lunch out in the community with their caregiver(s) and peers on the final day (Thursday). Caregivers will also receive helpful resources and strategies for supporting AAC use in everyday home and community settings, promoting ongoing growth and carryover beyond the workshop.Let’s make communication meaningful, functional, and fun—together! Fee includes lunch on the last day.

6 self-advocates max. Families will be notified if the class is full and a waiting list has been started.
