Our Unique Approach

Using our Lifespan Services Framework, we prioritize building self-advocacy and self-determination skills within each of our programs.

We offer several ACE options that cater to different needs and interests.

ACE Program Options:

ACE Social Enrichment

Our ACE Social Enrichment class is an innovative program targeting key skills such as social engagement, self-regulation, and leisure skills in a semi-structured setting.

ACE Social Enrichment classes take place on Fridays from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, providing excellent opportunities to learn, grow, and make new connections.

Our program is designed to support your personal growth and development, whether you’re looking to improve your social skills or simply want to have fun and make new friends.

ACE Full-Day Services

We offer a robust full-day of educational services with structured programming based on all of the home and community skills of our Lifespan Services Framework. Instruction is designed to facilitate growth and development in the skills of daily living, health and wellness, vocational development, communication, community engagement, social emotional skills, and safety.

Individuals may attend ACE Full-Day Services two days per week (Monday and Wednesdays; or Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm. Participants in this program have daily opportunities for physical fitness, skill-building, social enrichment, community access, and self-advocacy.

Please note: there may be a waiting list for services based on capacity limitations.

ACE Academy

ACE Academy is an intensive educational program designed specifically for adults with Down syndrome.

ACE Academy offers a diverse range of classes that are tailored to your individual needs and interests. Our highly trained team of educators, specialists, and therapists work together to provide a supportive and engaging environment that fosters growth and development.

Our classes run two days per week (Monday and Wednesdays; or Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, providing ample opportunity for you to learn, grow, and explore new subjects.

ACE Academy Plus

We recognize some individuals will require additional behavioral supports for optimal learning and engagement in ACE Academy. If the ACE Academy team determines that additional staff support is necessary for successful participation, the individual may continue to participate through ACE Academy Plus.

Our team will develop a plan that will include modifications and additional staff support. Determination of need for ACE Academy Plus will be based on data collection and/or incidents of non-negotiable behaviors listed in our Code of Conduct.

Additional Offerings...

ACE Social and Skill-Building Group (On-Site)

ACE Skill Building Social Group is our complimentary/free programming, offering adults the opportunities to learn essential new skills while also gaining important social skills by interacting among their peers. This in-person programming is a great way to make friends, gain independence and best of all, have fun!

ACE Social and Skill-Building Group (Virtual)

We understand that there can be barriers to attending in-person services, which is why we also offer virtual options for adults with Down syndrome! Each season, we also host Virtual Skill Building Social Groups that focus on providing a structured environment for adults to socialize, learn and have fun!

ACE Intake Process

A comprehensive ACE Intake Process is essential and required for ACE Social Enrichment, ACE Full Day Service, ACE Academy, and ACE Academy Plus. During your family’s intake appointment, you will have the opportunity to understand all of our service options matching your needs for support prior to committing to any service. Final enrollment in services will be based on multiple factors including family preference, service capacity, program criteria, and staff recommendation.
