With your encouragement, engagement, support and belief in our mission, we were able to put forward new and innovative services while also building off our existing services. In 2021, you provided us with a Lifelong Learning Campus that includes the space, technology and resources required to grow. In 2022, we had our first full year of services in this new space. Last year, we were able to take what we learned through feedback from the families we serve and refine our offerings to help shape opportunities and aspirations for individuals with Down syndrome throughout Kansas and Missouri.

In our Organizational Update for 2023, you will see how many individuals and families we served. It is important to note we only count each person once, upon their initial engagement within our services. So, no matter how many services they utilize or events they attend (and we hope that is as many as possible)—we don’t count them again. Which is why I want to highlight the number of service hours our Team spent serving families: 36,585! This number, paired with the breakout of hours spent within our Top 10 programs, truly illustrates the depth of our services and impact. I want to thank our team for their hard work, dedication, innovation, and passion that made this possible!

In 2023, we also strengthened collaborations with multiple organizations which truly benefits the people we serve in so many ways. When we come together, the strength of our efforts multiplies the outcomes. In 2024, we will continue to lean into these collaborations to collectively serve more people in our region.

Please know, without you, none of this would be possible—and we stand on your shoulders as we pave the way for the future. Thank you for your time, energy, and resources that you have invested in our mission over the years that have allowed us to dream big. Together, we are changing lives!
