Everyone wants to live a good life! Preparing ahead of time is the key to living the life of your dreams.
Down Syndrome Innovations knows it is critical to help educators and families prepare self-advocates with Down syndrome for a seamless transition from high school into adulthood. The Good Life Series consists of four sessions targeting the following topics: self advocacy, post-secondary options, workforce readiness, housing options, how and when to apply for entitlement programs, adult service providers, supported decision making, guardianship and financial planning.
Good Life sessions are hosted each school year and begin in the fall. We recommend parents attend all four sessions to access vital information to prepare their child for a successful transition from high school to adulthood.
